Distribution Statistics

Distribution Statistics

The Distribution Statistics dialog displays statistics for the distribution(s) in the active Risk Profile chart. You can access the dialog by clicking Data | Distribution | Statistics with a Risk Profile chart active or by right mouse-clicking the chart and selecting Statistics from the context menu.

The dialog displays the mean, median, minimum, maximum, variance, standard deviation, skewness and kurtosis for the distribution selected in the Distribution drop-down list. If the Risk Profile chart displays more than one distribution, select another distribution from the drop-down list to see statistics for it.

Setting Percentiles<

The table on the right side of the dialog displays a set of default percentiles (10th, 50th, and 90th) and their values in the distribution. You can also use this table to determine the values for other percentiles. Double-click one of the "(none)" percentiles or any existing percentile and edit its value to be an integer between 1 and 99. Click the Update Percentile Values button. The table will change to show the value for your new percentile. When you turn on Percentiles within the Chart | Series | Labels group, the percentiles specified within the Distribution Statistics dialog are displayed. You can also access just the Percentiles table (named Specify Percentiles dialog) by clicking the dialog box launcher within Chart | Series | Labels.

When you view statistics, the statistics are written to the log in a tabular format for all distributions displayed in the chart.
