Preparing Model for Time Series Percentiles

A minimum of three attributes must be defined in order to generate a time series percentiles chart. Consequently, there are a number of steps to be taken prior to generating a Time Series Percentiles Chart.

Running Time Series Percentiles for the first time:

  1. If your objective function requires separate attributes from those needed for the Time Series Percentiles, create one or more attributes for the objective function (e.g., NPV).
  2. Create an attribute for each time period (e.g., Cash Flow 1, etc.).
  3. Specify the objective function.
  4. Either create a value node for each time period or create a series/array value node for all time periods.
  5. Enter the formulas for the value node(s) or link the node(s) to spreadsheet cell(s) for the metric you want to track.
  6. Enter get/pay expressions in the decision tree for each attribute.
