Scenario Risk Profile

A scenario risk profile is a risk profile for the paths beginning at a specific location or corresponding to a specific set of outcomes in the Policy Tree. To generate a scenario risk profile, right click on a node in the PolicyTree and select Scenario Risk Profile from the context menu, or select a node and choose Policy | Scenario Risk Profile | Add. Note an Endpoint Database associated with the Policy Tree must be available to generate this result.

Event States

Use the table to select the event states for which you would like a risk profile. The table will be initialized with the event states corresponding to the path leading to the selected node. Nodes which have not been resolved on that path will be set to *(All)*, meaning all their states should be included.

If the head node is selected, all the events will be initialized to *(All)*, meaning all scenarios in the Policy Tree should be included (in this case, the Scenario Risk Profile will be the same as the regular Risk Profile).

Note that you can use the dialog to specify scenarios that do not correspond to a subtree starting at a particular location on the Policy Tree. For example, you could specify a scenario in which the last node in the tree is always set to a particular state.

Objective Function / Attributes List

If the model contains multiple attributes, you can select the attribute for which you would like a risk profile, as you described in Decision Analysis Options.

Use defaults based on Policy Tree selection

Check this box if you would like DPL to always run the scenario risk profile based on the selected node, without displaying the dialog box. Note that if you check this option, you will not be able to use the table to specify scenarios that do not have a single location on the tree as their starting point. You can also modify this option within the Run Settings dialog (Home | Run | Options).
