Risk/Reward Charts

A Risk/Reward chart plots the expected value of the objective function given success on the horizontal axis (x-axis) versus the probability of success on the vertical axis (y-axis) for each project in the portfolio. The size of the bubbles is in proportion to the expected development costs for each project.

Projects in the top right quadrant (higher probability of success and higher expected objective function given success) are more attractive while projects in the lower left quadrant are less attractive.

You can format the color and transparency of the bubbles in the chart by clicking the dialog box launcher within the Chart | Format | Color group. See Format Color.

You can add custom Bubble charts of your own that plot different attributes. See Adding a Bubble/X-Y/Ratio Chart
