To delete one character, do one of these:
- place the insertion point to the right of the character and press Backspace.
- place the insertion point to the left of the character and press Delete.
To delete the line return, place the insertion point at the end of the line and press Delete.
To delete the rest of the line, place the insertion point to the left of the text you want to delete and press Ctrl+\.
To delete one line, place the insertion point anywhere on the line you want to delete and press Ctrl+Delete.
To delete more than one character, select the text and press Ctrl+X (or use Home | Home | Edit | Cut). This puts text on the Clipboard. Or select the text, then press Delete.
