Project Value Range Chart

The Project Value Range chart displays the range of the objective function from the 10th percentile to the 90th percentile for each project in the portfolio. The light green portion of the bar is the range from the 10th percentile to the 50th. The dark green is the range from the 50th percentile to the 90th. The color change (if there is one) is at the 50th percentile. The blue triangle within the bar indicates the expected value of the objective function for each project.

The bars are sorted from greatest to least based on the 90th percentile value of the objective function for each project.

If you select the additive view within Chart | Format | Display, the expected value of the objective function is used to display the bars cumulatively. I.e., if the first bar has an expected value of 20 and the second bar has a 10th percentile value of zero, then the left end of the second bar will begin at 20 (if the second bar has a negative 10th percentile value, then the second bar will start to the left of 20; if positive, to the right of 20).
