File | Options | Outputs

The Outputs tab of the Options dialog stores settings for DPL outputs. It can be accessed by selecting File | Options and clicking on the Outputs tab.

General number formatting

Decimal places

Decimal places allows you to specify the number of digits displayed to the right of the decimal in numeric output. The default is 3.

Output Scaling

Output Scaling allows you to specify a power of ten by which numeric values will be divided before display (in Policy Tree, Risk Profile Charts, Time Series Percentiles and Rainbow and Tornado Diagrams). This scaling affects only the display of numeric values and not any calculations performed on the values. The default value is zero, i.e., display 1.0 as 1.0.

Zero Equivalent

Zero Equivalent controls how small a number must be before DPL displays it as 0. Values with an absolute value less than 1.0E-n are displayed as 0 in DPL, where n is the zero equivalent. For example, entering a value of 5 as the zero equivalent causes numbers with absolute values less than 0.00001 to be displayed as 0. The default value is 12.

Probabilities

Display probabilities as percentages

If this option is checked, then probabilities in the Policy Tree, Policy Summary, Session Log and policy tips are displayed as percentages. In addition the y-axis in Risk Profile Charts is formatted as percentages. It is checked by default.

Decimal places for probabilities

Decimal places for probabilities allows you to specify the number of digits displayed to the right of the decimal for probability output. The default is 2 if Display probabilities as percentages is not checked and 0 if it is.
